We really enjoyed our stay at Cuatro Cantones! The entire property was exceptionally clean, and Hannah was absolutely wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. She even helped another guest recover a phone left at a previous accommodation. The outdoor space was probably our favorite part: the beautiful lawn, tables, chairs, and swimming pool made it a relaxing place to spend the afternoon. The pool was clean and available year‑round, which was a fantastic bonus! There was plenty of space to hang laundry, and they also did our laundry for us. Everything came back fresh and smelling wonderful. The restaurant upstairs had a great Camino atmosphere. We shared tables with other pilgrims we hadn’t met before, which is one of the things we love about the Camino. The beer was also a great value, especially the larger size for just €2.50 compared with €2 for a small one! There was a lovely communal table where we could play games, and the vending machines were convenient and well stocked. Overall, it was a welcoming, comfortable place to relax, socialize, and enjoy some downtime after walking. The beds were quite hard, making sleeping a little uncomfortable. The shower water wasn’t consistently hot, especially if you showered later. There were only two toilets and two showers for a room that accommodates up to 20 people, which seems a bit limited when the albergue is full. Fortunately, it wasn’t at capacity during our stay, so this wasn’t a major issue for us.

The staff were courteous, the place was clean, and food was provided. The indoor social space was clearly too small for the number of pilgrims present. Because it rained heavily and the common room was full, we had to wait for our meal on our bed. It would be nice to be able to wait for the meal in the dining room when the inner courtyard isn’t accessible.
