“Just don't! Stay that is.”

The room was huge, but ants were everywhere – in the bathroom sink, on the bed, and even on the room divider wall. The sheets felt like they had grass and dirt on them. The heart‑shaped Jacuzzi tub was unusable, giving off a nasty, dirty vibe. Mirrors were unclean everywhere, especially above the bed and around the whole Jacuzzi wall area. We left the place feeling dirtier than when we arrived, and we didn’t even shower.

“They need to clean better and upgrade a bit.”

The room was okay, but the towels had stains. The room was dusty and could use a makeover. The price was high, and they had availability.

“Not a great location. Not in good shape. Appears to have a few long-term residents.”

The price, about $100 after tax, seemed reasonable, yet a photo that appeared to show a two‑story hotel turned out to be a two‑story motel with no sign that the second floor was in use. I was given the “royalty room,” a honeymoon “suite” with a non‑functional tub, a small shower, and an old wall‑mounted air conditioner that was noisy and very dusty but still worked. It was larger than the average room. Everything else was old: one TV didn’t work, and the second required someone to reconnect it to the local cable system. The king bed was low to the floor, raising concerns about its cleanliness. It was adequate, but I can’t imagine anyone wanting to use it for its original purpose. A mirror was above the bed.

The place was clean, easy to reach, and the staff were friendly. The shower and bathroom light weren’t working properly.
