The bed was spacious and the bathroom looked pristine, but the room smelled strongly of sweat and I couldn’t find any instructions for the Wi‑Fi.

For a Japanese hotel the size was impressive, the staff were kind and the cleaning was spotless, although occasional odd noises could be heard inside the building.

The place felt very clean; I had put a “Do Not Disturb” sign on while out, but when I returned at night on the second day fresh towels and a bottle of water were waiting on the door, and I had no complaints.
