The Bistro Pierre was OK, but I expected it to be available at Chez Vivienne. I didn’t like climbing six flights of very narrow, steep stairs to reach my room. I was surprised there was no face‑to‑face contact with any staff, and the room and bathroom weren’t cleaned or tidied between days. I would have been fine with that if I’d been warned before booking and the price reflected it.

We didn’t stay for breakfast, but the room was cold, very noisy outside, and there was no remote to control the TV.

The central location is quirky, yet the entrance through a dark alley feels unwelcoming, there’s no stand‑up shower, minimal tea and coffee options, no fan, and the overall vibe feels a bit unloved.

The location is good, but the room feels cramped due to the sloping roof, making movement difficult; a stuck light switch in the bathroom fell off during the night, preventing us from turning on the light until we found it, and the TV didn’t work.
