“Stay. You won’t regret it.”
The staff were so lovely. The setting is picturesque and very Dr Zhivago. The decor is whimsical and eclectic and filled my jaded soul with joy. It was a taxi ride from anywhere but that wasn’t too bad

Breakfast appeared to be included, but when we got there they told us we had to choose the breakfast option, and it was too late to offer it. The walls were really thin; we could hear other residents who came in late at night and the microwave being used at 11 pm just outside our room. There were bugs and beetles in our room. We tried to use the washing machine, but the dryer did not work properly. The price was quite high for what was offered. I felt like I was in a hostel, not a guest house.

The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and the Japanese breakfast was huge and amazing—so much that I would have preferred it for dinner. The service was outstanding, and the common area was very pleasant, complete with a stove and a relaxation space. The only downside was that the beds and pillows were hard.
