“Generally Pleasant Stay in Accessible Inner Neighbourhood of Room”
We appreciated the location, which some people say feels sketchy or unsafe but we didn't feel that at all; it felt multicultural and like an inner‑city suburb, easily reachable by public transport. Even though the room was on a busy street, it still felt secluded and quiet. I liked the nearby corner shops, cafés and restaurants downstairs. The free slippers and bottle openers left in the common area were handy. Check‑in and check‑out were smooth and contactless, and the air conditioner kept the room cool. Wi‑Fi was good. The toilet seat had a crack that made it uncomfortable and should have been replaced before we arrived. The shower‑accessory holder was wonky and needed better fastening; overall the bathroom needed some maintenance. Hot water was rarely available until late evening, which was frustrating for a shower at this price point. An extra blanket would have helped, even in summer, because the bedding was light. The room is not large, but the high ceiling makes it feel open. We couldn't connect the TV to streaming services; it only had local channels, so adding that would be nice.
