It’s decent for sleeping and nothing else, very central, but parking is hard to find, many details and cleaning are missing, and it could be more interesting; I’m surprised it has a 9.1 rating on Booking.

The place sits in the central square of a historic house, so you’re right in the middle of the lovely village of Leucate; Serge is a must‑see, one of the village’s memories, and a very endearing, caring person; no negative points.

We had a pleasant stay in a tidy room, the house exuded its own personality, the host was very helpful, and we received a voucher to grab breakfast at one of the cafés on the square, which we found a nice, surprising touch.

Located in the heart of town, the room faces north so it stays cool even in the late afternoon.

The location, the room style, and the very friendly owner are great, but the bathroom linen smells off.
