Mantra Mount Gambier

“Highly recommend staying here at Mantra for a relaxing good value break.”

The location and facilities were spot‑on for our overnight stay, and the staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient, making the vibe very relaxed; we ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant, both excellent value for money, and I’d happily recommend Mantra to other travellers. The only issue was that Apple Maps pointed us to the wrong side of the highway and further up the road, a problem we’d also had with another place in Naracoorte earlier in our trip—hopefully this doesn’t hurt anyone’s business.

“Wonderful stay and staff were amazing.”

The hotel had its own restaurant with happy hour and breakfast, the staff were amazing, and the stay was lovely.

Gode parkeringsforhold. Det var gode senge. Ingen støj. God bruser. Værelset og badeværelset var meget slidt. Morgenmaden var meget enkel, kaffen var lunken og dårlig. Den gode kaffe kostede 5 AUD ekstra. Morgenmaden blev serveret i et interval på 2 timer og tidligt. Andre steder vi har boet har det været et interval på 3 timer og med slut tidligst kl. 9.30

“Great location and easy access from main roads- clean and comfortable.”

The location is great, though the place feels a little tired, which I know is being refurbished slowly.

We lost three TV channels; reception tried to help but the issue was everywhere, yet they were really helpful. The bed was comfy and the electric blanket was a must because it was chilly. The bath was a bonus, hot water was great—though a bit too hot. The interior looked very old, like the ’80s, and it was the most expensive place I’ve stayed at in Mt Gambier, which was disappointing for a Mantra. I expected a higher end feel. They only provided two glasses, two cups, saucers, teaspoons and a tea towel—no plates, bowls or cutlery. Coffee sachets were two weeks out of date. The hot water was great but too hot, risking scalds, and I was bitten by something, ending up with a huge red welt on my leg. People outside were talking loudly and seemed indifferent to those of us trying to sleep.
