There’s a good selection of engaging activities for kids, some free. The rooms are spacious, the premises and surroundings are lovely. Very few staff spoke English, so some family members had trouble communicating.

The hotel compound is lovely to stroll around and the breakfast selection is good. The location is a little away from the main tourist area but that’s fine.

A beautiful hotel, but not quite a relaxing resort experience The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views and everything designed in a very tasteful and aesthetic way. The surroundings are gorgeous, and overall it feels like a very special place. However, there are a few things that were disappointing. If you are looking for a relaxing resort-style holiday where you can spend the day by the pool, this is probably not the right place. There is no food or drink service by the pool, and the pool area seems to also be used by outside guests, with swimming lessons taking place and very laude teachers . This really takes away from the relaxing holiday atmosphere. It is also surprising that, despite having so many beautiful outdoor spaces, there are almost no comfortable chairs or loungers where you can simply sit, read a book and enjoy the scenery. There is even a lovely terrace next to the pool where a few loungers would make a huge difference. Another issue is the language barrier. Only one staff member I encountered spoke English. I went to the restaurant and ended up paying around 300 RMB for something I had not properly understood and did not enjoy. Even the hot pot restaurant menu was not available in English. For a five-star hotel that wants to welcome international guests, I really think more effort should be made here. On a positive note, the duck was excellent, and the hotel itself is truly beautiful. With a few relatively simple improvements, especially around the pool experience, comfortable outdoor seating and English communication, this could be an exceptional hotel

The garden was relaxing, the mini zoo was adorable, the fitness area was nice, and breakfast was good. Communicating in English was difficult.

The massive resort offered every conceivable facility – pool, spa, several restaurants, and a truly spectacular setting. A small shuttle took us there, and the room was huge, perfectly laid out, in excellent condition, spotless, with top‑quality bedding. Breakfast was outstanding, featuring an enormous buffet, and the spa gave us one of the best massages we’ve ever had, with great value for money, feeling very much like a five‑star property in every respect. The only downside was the staff: beyond the language barrier (they didn’t speak English at all, especially in the restaurants), the team was generally not very friendly, which felt off for a five‑star hotel. The hotel is also quite far from Lijiang’s centre, a fact clearly stated in the description, so it wasn’t a surprise, but it made us reliant on the on‑site restaurants.
