“Great location but old and needs renovations”

The staff were kind and friendly, breakfast was tasty, the room was roomy, and the location was great. However, the bed and pillows were uncomfortable—the mattress was too springy and would rattle when someone moved, which woke the other person. The hotel is old and needs renovation, and there’s a constant, unbearable noise in the breakfast area that makes it hard to sit and eat. For the price I paid, I expected a better experience.

The worst hotel experience ever! We called ahead and were told we had 3 adults and a child (since the booking site didn’t allow adding a child), so we were told to book a deluxe room for 4 people and that a small extra fee for the child would be added on site. After six hours on the road, we arrived at 6 pm and were told the rooms weren’t ready, that we’d have to wait an hour or so, and then they demanded an additional 100 % surcharge for the child’s stay—850 shekels per night 😐 They transferred us to a more expensive hotel with better service and communication.

Breakfast was good. The upgraded room was a bit cramped, there was nowhere to dry laundry, no hair dryer, and the advertised spa center was missing.

The location is great in the city center, close to the promenade and the mall by the sea, but parking is a hassle with only blue and white spots and sometimes hard to find (though we usually managed). Breakfast food is very good, the staff are friendly and try hard. The hotel feels a bit old, yet the value matches the price. Initially, they showed us a terrible room near the reception with a sink outside the room, and a shower later; then they upgraded us to a second‑floor room. If we had stayed in the first room, our rating would have been the lowest possible, but the new room definitely met our expectations.

A clean hotel with polite staff, and the breakfast surprised me—no other fancy place serves such meals! Everything was tasty and fresh, and the desserts were a real treat; that cheesecake was the best I've ever had. Big thanks to everyone in the kitchen and all hotel staff from the housekeepers to the front desk. However, I still read about the unresolved issue of nowhere to dry wet clothes after the sea.
