“Très belle adresse pour se déconnecter aux tumultes actuels.”
The location and the welcome. Nothing.
A bed & breakfast from another era, a spotless historic building well maintained even though it shows the signs of age. The village itself offers little, but it served as a good base to head to Saint Emilion after passing the dunes of Pilat and stopping by Sauternes.
“Envie d’y retourner”
I had a lovely conversation with the owner! I liked everything.
A stunning find – a place, a soul, and charming hosts Sandra and Yvon, the new owners of this beautiful Chartreuse! We stumbled onto it by accident while detouring from our holiday route after the tragic summer 2026 fires around the basin, and were welcomed warmly and spontaneously by Sandra and Yvon. While chatting between client greetings, they invited us to share their table for dinner, simple yet refined. The next morning’s breakfast, hearty and varied, served in the enchanting dining room of the château only reinforced our excitement from the previous night!
“We hebben genoten van het kasteel.”
A very nice location, but the plumbing is outdated.
