Everything felt so personal and lovingly crafted, a true gem among accommodations. The room was lovely, the bathroom original, and the building itself was a historic old house. José, the host, was extremely friendly. If you’re after a stylish hotel room, this place is out of your league; if you love French charm and originality, you can’t miss it.

We appreciated the host’s friendliness, yet the house, though charming, was far from clean: the room was full of cobwebs with small spiders especially around the bed, the vacuum had never been used, dust everywhere, the bed frame was warped, and the house smelled stale and damp. The bathroom and toilets were in the same state. Breakfast offered only toasted bread that was hard, industrial jam, unappetizing cheese, and the coffee was only mediocre. Brooking should check bed‑and‑breakfasts before listing them; this is unacceptable.

A Sleeping‑Beauty castle waiting to be opened. The layout was very interesting, the cozy lounge with an open fireplace added charm. The host was very nice and, with his friendly nature, compensated for some flaws of the old building. However, the cleanliness of the winding, otherwise pretty furnishings prevented a truly relaxing experience.

Jose is a very pleasant yet respectful host with whom we enjoyed chatting, even over a good breakfast and coffee. The house is great and full of character; if you’re after something sterile, spotless and bland, this isn’t for you. Otherwise you’ll enjoy it. Take other reviews with a grain of salt. We’d stay again. Some other reviews mention a cigarette‑smoke odor—there is a slight scent, so consider if that bothers you. You can walk down to town or the beach if you’re moderately fit, but the last stretch of road before the house lacks pavement, which isn’t ideal after dark.
