The Waterside Haven

This house is everything – a bit out of the city, but in a perfect atmosphere like a jungle, living like Tarzan while still having a modern, comfortable home. When I return to Sri Lanka, this will be the only place I’ll definitely visit again! The Lee family is amazing – simple, friendly, and the owner, Sun Lee, would do anything for you. He’s a special person! I’m already looking forward to visiting them again; they made my time in Tangalee really fun and nice. Sun Lee is also an entertainer and very funny! You can even bet with him – he never wins (I already won his house). His wife often cooked for us, and it was really, really good. A great family and the best place in Tangalee.

The house is by a lake and has a dreamlike garden with the nicest hosts you could imagine. We felt absolutely welcome and at home. The rooms were very clean, and we slept better here than anywhere else. The garden is full of beautiful animals – colorful birds, peacocks, buffalo bathing in the lake. It’s pure paradise. But most importantly, we’ve never had such warm hosts. Absolutely recommended. We’ll definitely come back and are already looking forward to it. Thank you for everything. Istuti

An absolute wellness oasis. Super clean, dreamlike rooms. Centrally located yet quiet by a lake in nature. We intended to stay only two days, but it turned into eight because we felt at home. The nicest hosts you could imagine. Absolutely recommended. It couldn’t get better. Thank you for everything.
