The view was incredible, the pool was lovely, and breakfast was fabulous; the shuttle to and from the Sorrento train station was helpful, and the staff were great. The only downside was the steep hike to the hotel if you miss the shuttle – it would be better if it ran every hour, and check‑out was at 10 am.

The facilities were very good, but the location was a problem.

The room was a good size, but the noise was unbearable – you could hear people from other rooms and the corridor, and the air‑conditioners ran all night, creating a constant loud hum. One night a party with very loud music took place and the hotel didn’t warn us, so I couldn’t sleep at all. The pool was too small for the number of guests, and the shuttle buses weren’t frequent enough, so staying in the city centre might be preferable.

One of the most beautiful views of the Gulf of Sorrento, the terrace and room were huge (Room 132), the pool was nice, and breakfast was 7.5 €. The automatic door closing was too noisy, the transfer to and from Sorrento was too limited in the evening – 23 h is too early, especially if you’re dining late. The taxi alternative is too expensive; I suggest arranging a commercial deal with a taxi company.
