The place was convenient, yet the room was filthy: bedding had stains and the whole room smelled like an ash tray.

It turned out to be exactly what you expect, and Reddy, the lady working there, was very kind and helpful; we had nowhere else to go, so she offered us a decent room at a fair price during Ragbrai when no one else would.
