The location, cleanliness, wifi, and "cost‑benefit" were good, but I stayed in their annex and it was a bit rainy, which made it hard to go out for coffee, for example, and because it was an annex I thought the price was a bit "salty"; for the amount I paid for a triple, there was something similar in the main building for a similar price.

I stayed in the Chale, a spotless room that was a hit with the kids thanks to the nearby animals—monkeys that loved bananas, a tucano, and a lagarto. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit far from the Centeo Histórico if you want to walk with children, but everything else—laundry, a great sushi spot, and other food and drink places—is within walking distance.

The room was spacious, but the swamp next to it made for a noisy night with a lot of animal sounds; I know the highlight is the nature, but it interfered with my sleep.

The front‑desk and housekeeping staff were always very polite, the facilities were good, and we had all the comfort we needed. We did run into issues with the shower temperature, and the dirt road made walking around difficult on rainy days.
