The staff were friendly, the food was great, and the value for money was good, especially with the simple breakfast included.

“Basic accommodation in a welcoming, historic Tassie pub”

I landed in winter and the pub was a gem, warmed by two log fires and a wall heater in my room. The place is very dog‑friendly and the pub dog, Dave, kept an eye on everyone. Dinner was solid, and the continental breakfast—just bread, cereals, milk, tea, and coffee—was enough to start the day. The bed was super comfy, linens and towels were clean, and the Wi‑Fi worked well. They had a good selection of beers on tap, so I spent the evening by the fire with a few pints and didn’t have to drive anywhere afterward. It’s a basic accommodation in a historic Tassie pub. The only downside was the two shared bathrooms; one had a noticeable odor, so I used the other, which was fine. The walls, back of the door, and windowsill in room 1 could have used a clean‑up. At 6 am on my last morning, the noise from other rooms was loud as a group got ready for their motorbike trip, but otherwise it was pretty quiet.

“Lot's of fun!”

The location was remote but that's what was so good about it. The food, wine and fireplace were all excellent. The bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms very clean with soft white towels. I really didn't find anything wrong with it
