Located less than 1 km from Penn Station, the Leo House in New York offers a dining room, garden, and complimentary WiFi throughout. Chelsea Market is a 10-minute walk away. Some rooms feature private bathrooms, and a free buffet breakfast is available. Guests can enjoy the shared terrace and access to a business centre, 24-hour front desk, and nearby 23rd Street station, just a 2-minute walk.

Leo House is a well maintained hotel that has retained much of the old charm. The cost of accommodations in New York can be very high, and we found this to be an exceptional value. There are two elevators, so we never had to wait long for one. Good coffee was available in the lobby. The room was small, but had two chairs. There was instant hot water for the shower. The TV was small but adequate. The spacious breakfast room had a good selection, including scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon. The hotel is located between midtown and downtown, with close access to subway routes A, C, E, 1 and 2. There are restaurants in the area, including Dallas BBQ that we especially enjoyed. Because our stay was prior to mid October, no heat was available when we arrived on a cool and rainy afternoon. But after that, the weather improved and it wasn't a concern. A slight annoyance was the entry doors that would slam if other guests were not careful
