I stayed at a very cozy and beautifully decorated house. Giorgio was extremely responsive when we had a Wi‑Fi issue; he went out on a Sunday evening to fix it right away, and it turned out to be a tricky problem. He’s a local who loves the Madonie region and gave us plenty of tips for exploring and hiking those lovely mountains. Definitely worth a visit if you want to see the mountain side of Sicily.

“Overall good, nice house and big enough.”

At first I thought the place was nice and in a quiet spot, but the kids of the neighbors would sneak onto the back side of the terrace to look at the cats. We didn’t get the quiet or privacy we expected; people kept coming onto the back terrace, watching a building, and walking back and forth while we were outside at the table. The space that should have been private was constantly invaded by many people, and there was no washing machine in the house.

The farmhouse was in the countryside, fresh and spotless, in absolute silence, yet just a short walk from the village where all the basic services are. The double bedroom on the upper floor had an en‑suite, and the other double had an adjoining bathroom. The living room was spacious. The kitchen was very well equipped, with a toilet and a small laundry area. The outdoor space was usable, although the outdoor furniture wasn’t set up, perhaps because we booked just before arrival. The house supplied hygiene products, cleaning supplies, bottled water (the tap water isn’t drinkable but can be used for cooking), and coffee pods.

The apartment was very cute, colorful, welcoming, and fully equipped. It was clean, with soft, fragrant linens. On the ground floor there was a nice, quiet atmosphere. The owners were friendly and helpful. It’s a great spot for visiting the Madonie. I couldn’t find the sign, so even though there are only a few houses in Donalegge, I wasn’t sure I was in the right place.
