“Room without a view with a sealed window”

I got a small discount at checkout, which I liked, but I had to pay in cash. Later I found out my reservation was cancelled on Booking, even though I had stayed and paid for the night, which left me puzzled and I felt it needed to be mentioned. The place offers a poor value for money compared to other accommodations in Đồng Văn; for what it provides, the price should be at least 35‑40% lower. I chose Khoi Panorama mainly for its name and photos, hoping for a room with a panoramic view, but my room was on the lower floor and had no view at all: the only small window faced the veranda where breakfast was served and was even covered by a cloth, so nothing could be seen from inside. This should be clarified in the property’s information: upper‑floor rooms, even without private bathrooms, do have a nice view and a balcony; the room I received, with a private bathroom on the lower floor, had no panoramic view. The room was basically what was shown in the photos, though the photos made it look much better than reality. The bathroom was a major issue: there was no shower box and the room flooded completely during a shower because the drain seemed to not work properly. At that point I understood why slippers were left in the bathroom. Another point that confused me was the bed: there were no regular sheets; only a mattress protector and a bed cover were visible even in the photos, and decorative pillows were directly on the bed. I can’t say what the cleaning procedure is between guests, but I would have felt much more comfortable if clean, standard bedding had been provided for each new guest. There was also no air conditioning.
