The location was excellent, the room was clean, spacious, and super comfy. The host was super friendly and made us feel welcomed and well taken care of.

The host’s kindness, the location, the ability to drop off luggage before check‑in and after check‑out, everything was very clean and tidy, the breakfast (the host cooked tasty pancakes in plenty), the bed (ideal for one person), the view (there was a terrace), and the room’s brightness were all great. The room didn’t have a wardrobe.

The property was spotless. Shareen was a very good host. The area was great and just a short walk to the bay and cafés. Nothing in particular to complain about.

Breakfast was okay, not great—no juice, little fruit, and if we were five minutes late our food was cold. The dining table inside the house seats only four, so we had to wait. When we asked for napkins, we were pointed to the tissue box. The facilities were lovely, but the breakfasts were odd. Also, Shireen didn’t always give accurate local info: she said nearby restaurants closed by 8:30 pm on Saturday, yet many stayed open until 10 pm, and she claimed Sunday buses to Auckland harbor ran only once an hour, while they actually ran every 15 minutes during the day and returned every half hour in the evening.
