“Buono”
I stayed at the place on New Year's Eve. It’s a 20‑minute walk from the city centre and sits in a quiet neighbourhood. Everything was tidy and clean, which is useful even if you’re just passing through.

Moonlight Centro Bologna sits in the historic heart of Bologna, just 13 minutes’ walk from La Macchina del Tempo and under a kilometre from Santo Stefano Church. The property offers free public Wi‑Fi, a lift, shared kitchen, minimarket, coffee shop and family rooms with air‑conditioning, private bathrooms, city views, and full kitchen appliances. Piazza Maggiore and Via dell’Indipendenza are within 15 minutes’ walk.

I never spotted any staff members. The room felt more like a shared apartment than a private space. It’s far from the city centre and the bus stop, and the only nearby attraction is a great gelateria just around the corner.

The location was excellent, but they ran out of towels.

It felt like living temporarily in a flat in Bologna. Very atmospheric and homely. The rooms were beautifully decorated, each with its own theme or colour. I had the orange room, which was stunning! It had a luxurious private bathroom. The flat sits right in the centre, so you can walk everywhere. There’s a shared, large, clean kitchen where you can cook for yourself. The owner communicated everything well, both through Booking and WhatsApp. The only downside was that my (luxury) bathroom was outside the room, a few steps away. That wasn’t a problem for me, but there are rooms that have a bathroom inside the room as well.

The location was decent. The hosts’ communication was terrible in every way we needed it. The worst was when we arrived by car and asked where we could park, given the city’s strict rules. Without being helped, we eventually managed to park after many setbacks. We feel that tourists, even with their own resources to be in another country, don’t have enough to cover all needs. They need guidance to start their stay, something only locals can provide. We’ve visited many cities before and after Bologna, and in all of them, the communication with hosts was quite satisfactory.
