The hotel is close to everything and the front desk staff were very friendly. The room looked modern and new, but the stairs need some kind of handrail; I felt uneasy going down them, and the fridge door opens on the wrong side—it should open the opposite way. Even with these minor fixes, I’d definitely go back, especially after staying in the king suite.

The place was absolutely disgusting. The floors had never been washed. From the moment I checked in, everything was nasty. The rooms were not cleaned at all, and I can’t believe this place is allowed to stay open in such a nice location. The online photos are deceiving, and now I’m getting a message that Harborside said I never showed up—see what they try to do with that. They also “wanted my card info” when I checked in. Good luck with that. There were too many flies to even count in that room, the sheets and towels were nasty, and nothing in that room had ever been cleaned. When I was checking in, the front desk person sent me over the abandoned side of the motel where all the workers were outside hanging out, making me very uncomfortable the entire time.

New floors, paint, and shower were a plus. The A/C was very loud, the remote didn’t work properly, the bathroom mirror and shower curtain were mounted too high (I fixed the curtain), the sink stop wouldn’t seal, and the TV was crooked.

The new A/C was a positive. However, the place was run down, there was no pool, bath towels were dirty, the floor looked like it hadn’t been washed in a long time. The bed was so close to the wall that my husband had to crawl to the bottom of the bed to use the bathroom, and the sink was in the bedroom. The toilet was old and disgusting. We had items for a coffee pot but there was no coffee pot. There was a pool, but the indoor pool was full of mattresses. I did not enjoy my birthday vacation; the photos are very deceiving.

The staff was friendly and the units were clean. The only downside was that there was no pool; there was an indoor pool but it was empty.
