The staff were excellent, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The only downside was that breakfast started a little early.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly and professional. The location was really nice, quiet and out of the way, which was a main reason I chose to stay here. The only issue was that there wasn’t much to do in the little town, so we had to return to the pub we found that had a pool table, the Black Bull. The local café (Cob) was lovely for breakfast, and because it’s dog‑friendly we enjoyed our meal with some friendly characters, which was a bonus. Overall it was a much‑needed break from city life and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for that same relief. The quilt cover had a couple of sweat stains, which felt a little unhygienic. The meals were slightly overpriced for the portion size, and after the meal we were still a bit hungry, so we had to grab something else from a takeaway down the street.
