The welcome was nice and the bungalows have a beautiful setting. Walking around the complex is fun, with a trail that explains the origin and nature. The breakfast area is not special, a bit bare‑bones, and a bit more decoration would be nice; the breakfast itself is also sparse.

The staff went above and beyond to give us information and help with anything we needed (booking tours, laundry, calling a taxi). The grounds are very pretty, you feel part of nature – we loved listening to the birds every morning and evening. The small pool is pleasant. There’s a nice, typical Costa Rican restaurant very close to La Pradera. The only note is that the location itself is out of town with a very steep hill leading to town, which isn’t a problem if you have a car or can call a taxi.

The place feels wonderful, surrounded by nature, though the rooms look a bit dated, which seems typical for any rural accommodation in the area.

I liked the private walking trail, a well‑equipped kitchen and the quiet setting, but the pool was a little too small for my taste.

The cosy cottage sits in a lovely park with a paved path, plenty of plants and wildlife, and a great base for exploring the surroundings, yet there was no air‑conditioning (which we didn’t need), the cottage felt somewhat old‑fashioned, the fridge leaked, and although the kitchen was complete it also showed its age.
