Ferney Nature Lodge

Our time at Ferney Nature Lodge was truly wonderful. The lodge is cozy and in the middle of nature, surrounded by lush greenery with many hiking trails nearby that offer breathtaking views. We enjoyed spotting deer, tortoises, wild pigs, and simply relaxing to the peaceful sounds of birdsong all around us. The staff—Salim, Gayatree, Keshov, Amrita, and Roshree—were exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel at home. Our stay will remain a beautiful and cherished memory. Thank you for everything!

Very classy, in an exceptional environment. An intimate lodge, with an outstanding location in preserved nature. Nothing was wrong, everything was perfect.

Wonderful luxury lodge with a lot of privacy—only 4 houses and staff caring for at most 8‑12 guests! Food was excellent, à la carte. You choose what you want for lunch and dinner. Breakfast always comes with a basket of pastries, various jams, and butter. Plus a 3‑course breakfast that can be selected from a menu. There was even avocado toast, a dream! Keshev was simply great—always there for us and helped with my suitcase that wouldn’t open! If we come back to Mauritius, we’ll definitely book here again.

It’s one of the best hotels I’ve tried on my trips, a very quiet spot in nature with only four huts, so book early. The weather is lovely, mostly rainy in late September 2026, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. They offer a range of breakfast and dinner options, and you can pick them the night before to arrive on time and find them ready. There’s a toilet in the bathroom, and the staff maintain the place and décor beautifully, which is refreshing. The activities are amazing; I tried the Sensory Garden, a place that engages all your senses and shows various plants and flowers, and we saw the Mauritian coffee there. Honestly, it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had—two days are enough. Mobile coverage is poor except in a few spots, but free Wi‑Fi is available. Highly recommended if you’re coming to Mauritius. A tip: buy groceries from the supermarket before you arrive, because the place is far from the city—buy water, bread, cheese, etc. No complaints.

The meals are super good and the welcome is top. The mattress is quite firm, but I understand that’s a matter of personal preference.
