We have booked with you many times and were usually satisfied. This pension should not even be listed. The rooms and kitchen are total mess, the parking lot is a stinking dump. The outdoor area was not set up even though the weather was perfect. One should have been refunded instead of paying. The heating and TV worked, but when I entered the courtyard I was met with a pile of trash; the tiled stairs to the first floor were filthy, the glass surfaces on the side table and TV table were dusty and streaked with fingerprints. I was relieved to have a roughly A3-sized tourist map of Bernburg to use as a reference. The bathroom, supposedly “private,” was a nightmare: it smelled awful and was shared by multiple people, with several toothbrushes and razors left in it, two open toilet lids that I always close, and crumbs everywhere on the sofa that forced me to lay a towel before sitting. I only used the bathroom for essentials. Charging almost 60 € for all of this is downright audacious.
I survived the night. Everywhere was dirty, trash at the entrance, I’m sorry, but sleeping in a tent next to the sewage plant would be more hygienic.
The beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly, the layout was simple but functional, the location was quiet, and there was a parking spot in the courtyard.
