“Very disappointing”
Only the surface was cleaned. There were dead moths in bowls and cups, dust on dishes and cups, cobwebs on light fittings, grime on the chains, and even the bathroom holder had dead moths and thick dust that I had to remove and wash. The outside grill was disgusting, as if never cleaned; the base had fat drippings and gunk, and the igniter didn’t work. The garden machines were always noisy. The firepit was overgrown. The photos were misleading, showing a cabin, garden, and river, but in reality a main road, railway, and houses block the river, which you can’t access. The map outside the office didn’t show how day visitors could reach the river for a picnic. Very disappointing—we left a day early.
“Hard pass if you aren't a hunter/fisherman”
There was no A/C and it was scorching. Fans were provided, but you either had to sleep with them off and stay hot or with them on and endure noise louder than a jet engine. The bathtub in Room 1 was disgusting—extremely stained, with peeling or black moldy caulking. I had hoped for a cute log‑cabin vibe from the photos, but that was not the case.
We were thrilled with the place and plan to return. Kay welcomed us warmly and shared their family history and the significance of this sacred area in Montana.
“Perfect location with some extras but wish there was A/C.”
The location was great. Two large fans in the room helped cool us down. We used the nice yard with a grill and table for dinner. The refrigerator and microwave worked well, and the coffee was good. It was a very smoky day and there was no A/C, so the room stayed hot and I had to keep the windows open to stay cool enough overnight.
“Great”
The location was great and the rooms were spacious.
