Breakfast was good, though there were bugs in the fruit and chocolate. The place is well maintained, common areas are nice, staff are friendly, and it’s close to the turtles – a very pleasant hotel right in nature. However, you have to walk 10–15 minutes to the village, and the trail is a bit rough. The boat fare from Pavona is double the price just to get to the hotel, while the actual boat trip takes only about 2 minutes.

The entire hotel complex was very nice. The food was mass‑served and mediocre. The restaurant staff were not very friendly, but the rest of the staff were very friendly.

“Muy recomendable, te sientes en medio de la naturaleza pero con todas las comodidades”

The accommodation is beautiful and right in nature, just a 15‑minute walk from the town and restaurants. It’s a shame we got caught in heavy rain and couldn’t use the common areas or the pool. Highly recommend. Breakfast was tasty and varied. The rooms have no windows, which might make them feel damp but also lets you hear all the jungle sounds at night and the rain. Prices at the restaurant are quite high.

The site is very pretty. We booked the turtle tours and the return boat trip through the national park with the hotel. The turtle spawning tour with Brian was great, but the Tortuguero tour was awful: the guide was nice, but the boat was completely open, and they didn’t provide ponchos or umbrellas at all. We got soaked and asked the guide to turn back because the experience was terrible. With the amount you pay, it would be worth it if they handed out ponchos or umbrellas.
