The hotel sits perfectly in the old town right next to the castle, and the food is excellent with a great breakfast; the place is very quiet. The staff are very friendly, and they let us store our luggage in a separate room for several hours so we could still visit the castle. Highly recommended!

The reception was awful – I asked to arrive in the morning to drop off my bags and pick up the keys, but they said it wasn’t possible until 16 h. I explained that I had an activity 50 km away and would only arrive between 01 h and 03 h, so I needed the keys at reception. Their answer: we’re closed from 22 h to 08 h! I told them I wouldn’t wait in my car (I can’t sleep without my respirator), and they said the kitchen would open at 05 h 15, so I had to wait until then. They didn’t care at all! I waited from 01 h to 05 h 15 in my car, then slept, and of course I couldn’t enjoy the included breakfast or have the room cleaned. When I woke at 14 h, I asked not to be charged for that night – bizarre – and they refused with no explanation. I’ve been a long‑time Booking customer, and this is the first time I’ve experienced this. Absolutely avoid!

The room was very beautiful, large, and clean on the first floor with a view of the square. Everything essential was really close by. In the morning, a superb breakfast was available from 07:00. :) We definitely recommend it to everyone, and if we ever need to stay again in Horšovské Týně, we’ll choose this place. I wouldn’t hesitate to say the ratios here are luxurious. The only downside is the heavy personal traffic in the city center and the older windows that don’t seal well, but overall it was a very comfortable and beautiful stay.

The location is amazing, the staff are great, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and the service wonderful. No negative comments.

A beautiful spot on the square by the castle, stylish and pleasant, with an outdoor restaurant, comfortable beds, and nice linens. Thank you. From room 207, you go down a few steps to the bathroom – we would have liked a curtain in that area to visually separate the room and work corner from the staircase and create a small vestibule in the stair space. But it’s nothing that devalues the otherwise excellent functioning of the hotel.
