The ocean and mountain vistas are absolutely stunning, and the spot is quiet and serene yet just a few minutes' drive to the beach. The rooms are roomy, cozy, and tastefully decorated. The staff’s hospitality really made the trip worthwhile, so I’d definitely recommend it!

My husband and I spent a week at The Puncak from December 20 – 27 2025, and from the instant we arrived we met the welcoming and charming owners, Jean‑Paul (Belgian) and his lovely wife, Nury (Javanese), who showed us the magnificent view over the Lombok Strait. We were sold on the place. It’s not about flashy luxury like larger hotels; it’s pure, drop‑dead beauty. There are only five attached villas in a row, with two lap pools, and no children are allowed. We were the only guests at that time, which surprised us but meant the whole place was ours and we were pampered. Nury prepared generous and delicious breakfasts, and the one dinner we had—nasi goreng and mee goreng—was simple yet satisfying. She’s a great cook, skilled in both local and western dishes. Budi, the staff member who looked after us, was sweet, meticulous about cleaning our room, and always ensured our comfort. I don’t know why this property is low on the Lombok hotel list on the website; it should be at the top! It’s a real gem. By the way, the thumbs‑down at the bottom of this review was clicked by accident and there seems to be no way I can correct it. The only minor issues were that, for two older people like us, the bed was hard to get in and out of because it sits on a wooden platform that must be negotiated before reaching the mattress (which is very comfy, by the way). The lighting in the room is very low, as they’re very eco‑conscious, which is admirable but makes reading at night a bit difficult even though they supplied little clip‑on reading lamps. The hot water in the shower takes a long time to arrive, so we had to turn on the shower in advance before actually getting in. These are just minor inconveniences, not real complaints.

The view from the room and the pool is simply breathtaking. The host and staff are very nice. The only downside is that you need a scooter to reach town, shops, restaurants, or beaches, although options are available to book.
