“Basic but comfortable.”

It was basic but having said that, I didn't want for anything. I particularly enjoyed the whiskey fruit cake that I had next to my tea facilities! Lovely surprise. Lovely setting right next to the railway station. Handy for trips to Thanet towns. Short walk to the beach which was a lot quieter and more relaxing within the other thanet beaches. I wasn't quite clear which areas I could go in and which I could not. I think I entered another tenant's room at one stage but clearly saw that it was occupied even though it was unlocked

“I was happy with the accommodation and it definitely suited my needs”

The place sits right where you want to be for Westgate-on-Sea, just a 2‑minute stroll to the train station and the high street, and a 10‑minute walk to two beaches; it was spotless and homely, and the bed was the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, with a beautifully decorated room. Even though the bathroom was shared, it stayed immaculately clean as if it were ours alone. Dan, the host, was very friendly and gave great local tips. I’d gladly recommend it and plan to return soon. Nothing really stood out as a drawback; it was excellent value for its location.

“Very frustrating! Completely unacceptable”

Very frustrating! The booking was abandoned and I was asked for a refund, with no property address shown—only after a long info page and help from locals did I locate it. When I finally found the place, I couldn’t get in because the passcode was wrong; that turned out to be the only passcode we could find at the time. The landlord was uncontactable!

“A Relaxing Stay at Westgate-upon-Sea”

A very cosy, comfortable room in a brilliant location, minutes from the beach, shops and station. Aidan, the host was super helpful and very efficient at responding to queries and sharing information
