My friend and I had a great night’s stay; I slept in the bed while he slept comfortably on the floor, the facilities were immaculate and the staff were very friendly. I’m moving to Helston before Christmas and would like to stay again; the location is great and the breakfast was awesome. 10 out of 10, thank you.

The bartender Brad was a real all‑rounder and made our stay feel fantastic. We loved the live music at theKettle and Wink next door to the hotel. The water pressure was great and the ginger server at breakfast was lovely. The location was perfect for seeing the town, and the bed was super comfy, though a few softer pillows would be nice. The carpets could use a deep clean, and the windows and walls in room #3 needed a thorough wipe‑down—probably because it was a busy summer season.

The historic charm of the hotel, the lovely staff, and the excellent cooked breakfast all made for a great visit. The jazz night was amazing, and the reception area was both lovely and comfortable. The only downside was not being able to order bar food, even though there are plenty of local places to eat.

Staying at The Western Hotel in the heart of St. Ives was a delight. The place sits within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, beaches, and the beautiful seafront, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent. Every morning the breakfast was delicious, and I slept comfortably and soundly. All in all, a very pleasant stay that I’d happily recommend to anyone visiting St. Ives.
