1 king bed
“Ok for a night”
The place sits just off the main high street and the room was a good size. Breakfast was served next door in a brasserie. Entry required a key safe and a code, with no reception desk. The date box was a bit tricky because the door had dropped. The room itself was fine, but the building felt a little dated and tatty, especially the peeling paint in the bathroom, which could use an overhaul. The bath was very high, making it hard to get in and out for the shower; there were no safety rails and the extractor fan didn’t work. The bed could use an update.
The room was comfortable and quirky, but I always feel that self‑check‑in feels a bit impersonal.
“Not set up for hikers”
The bed was comfy and the spot was great, but you have to shower in the bath, the place isn’t really hiker‑friendly because we had to haul our bags up two floors on tight, winding stairs, and breakfast didn’t start until 8:30 am.
“A good night’s sleep in a pleasant room but access was hazardous and breakfast indifferent.”
The room was clean and comfortable. We struggled to access the key safe and eventually an employee at the neighbouring Indian take‑away helped us, saying he’d done it for others before. We’re fairly agile for our age, but a warning about the narrow flights of stairs and uneven passageways would have been useful. On several occasions, the narrow hallway was almost completely blocked by other guests’ luggage, which made any emergency evacuation hazardous. We waited nearly an hour at our table for breakfast, and it seemed the staff were overstretched; other guests at another table had to delay their taxi pick‑up because they also waited so long for breakfast.
“poco confortable y el desayuno feo”
The breakfast didn’t meet expectations, but the location was very good. Access was very complicated with many stairs, and the space felt cramped. The air didn’t circulate, the stairs to the second floor were difficult to use, and the room was enclosed with a carpet and many doors, making it uncomfortable.
