The house is old but has been restored; I appreciate that the owners kept and reused the original wood trim. The room is beautifully decorated and appointed. The location is great; I could walk to most of what I wanted to do. Absolutely nothing to change.

The atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The location is convenient, close to the commercial area and the north ferry. The host is kind and attentive.

The location and view from Room 2 were lovely and quiet. The building and room lack locks or keys, and there is no one on site to greet you, though the manager called to explain that. If security worries you, this isn’t the place. He assured me that the island is very safe, but that’s not legally binding if something were stolen. No breakfast was offered; there was a coffee station with creamer but no fresh milk. I went out for a coffee—this isn’t a bed‑and‑breakfast. For the level of service, linens, etc., the price was crazy high, but it was Memorial Day weekend. Off‑season would probably be more reasonable.

Staying here is worth it! The old creaky house oozes charm and history, with cozy dark wood everywhere, a snug conservatory for games, a veranda with a swing, and front‑yard chairs and a hammock by the water’s edge. The host is great, the house is great, and the stay is great. No complaints.
