The owner is a very friendly man; breakfast was excellent and even served before the scheduled time upon request. The hotel’s location is good, there is a large parking lot, and the poor mobile signal was more than offset by the strong hotel Wi‑Fi.

The hotel and its restaurant made for a calm stay, and the dining experience was fantastic. However, everything shuts down at 10:00 pm, and the hotel terrace only opens at 17:30, so you can’t grab a drink and a bite at 1, 3, or 4 pm.

A charming, small hotel with a restaurant set in the Teutoburger Wald. Plenty of parking in front of the building and short distances to the Externsteine, the Hermannsdenkmal, and other local sights. The restaurant is superb – both the service and the dishes. The location is quiet; even if neighbors get loud, the windows are well insulated. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, and the coffee was good. The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable, but that varies for everyone.
