The cleaning was spot‑on, with soap refills and empty trash bags in the kitchen, a spacious bathroom, a tidy room, a comfy bed, and a fridge stocked with water, sugar packets, coffee and tea on arrival. The front door, however, wouldn’t shut from the inside.
“Pulizia da pianificare meglio in tempistica.”
Cleaning and waste disposal were only done once a week, which felt too infrequent; a more regular schedule would have been helpful.
“Muffa e pulizia inesistente”
The location was close to the pedestrian zone and the furnishings were new, but we arrived on Tuesday 18 August and found the keys in a box outside the building. The place looked clean at first glance, yet the interior was far from tidy. The B&B had been built in a former garage, so the common area felt like a windowless cave except for the entrance door. I was lucky to get a room with windows in both the bedroom and the bathroom, which let me ventilate the space as much as possible given the musty smell coming from the bathroom and the side wall of the room. When I arrived, I had to call for new towels because the ones provided were dirty and full of hair. The next day they brought fresh towels, but when I asked for a fix to the completely clogged bathroom sink, I was handed a bottle of drain cleaner that I had to pour myself. In the common areas (there are six rooms in the property) there were piles of trash, and for four days I didn’t see anyone attend to the communal waste or clean the spaces. The rules said rooms would be cleaned every three days and linens changed, but that never happened. I called the owner to urge him to clean the common areas and remove the trash, and he told all the guests that we were supposed to dispose of everything ourselves and that cleaning would only occur once after we left, claiming it was normally done every five days—something contradicted by other guests who had been there for almost seven days and never saw anyone. The pervasive mold smell was another major issue. I would never recommend this place and would urge a rewrite of the rules to match reality.
Overall, it was a very satisfying experience.
“Mala gestione”
The property has parking and is conveniently about a five‑minute walk from the center and the sea, and the shared lounge is pleasant and functional. However, humidity, mold, and a terrible odor made the bathroom unusable, and towels were only changed every five days. No one bothered to clean the common area, leaving us full of trash because it wasn’t even taken away.
