“Avoid Thornbury Guest House.”
I couldn’t get into the room because the code sent to me didn’t work. After calling Customer Services, they asked me to send a video of me entering the code, which I did. The maintenance guy then told me the lock was broken! If the issue was known, it should have been fixed before the room was booked. I was moved to another room at Thornbury Guest House and promised it was a good room, but it wasn’t. Room 3 was dirty, dingy, and smelled like a dog had been there. The photos on the website were misleading and had nothing to do with the awful condition. The tiny sink in the shower room had no plug and the water leaked onto the floor because the u‑bend was broken. The room was lit, if that’s an exaggeration, by a single low‑wattage bulb in a ceiling fixture with no bedside lamp as shown in the photos. Customer Services have not responded to my complaints about this room.
