When I arrived at the Howard Johnson, the first room they gave me had a marijuana odor. I went back to the front desk, explained that I don’t smoke and requested a room change. The host asked why, I clarified, and they moved me to room 106. That room wasn’t clean and I felt very uncomfortable; I will never stay there again.

I liked that it was very comfortable and in an accessible location. I didn’t like that when I tried to re‑enter my room after leaving, the key wouldn’t work and I had to return each time for it to be fixed; on one occasion the staff was rude.

We went to watch the World Cup, and the location was very close to MetLife Stadium, which was great. However, the place was a bit dirty, had cockroaches, and the sheets and towels clearly showed heavy use. The price was very excessive for the level of service.
