Penthouse Hotel

The hotel is close to the metro and public transport, and very near the historic centre. A special bonus for us was the room with a private terrace (room 407). The staff were very responsive, showing us around and explaining what to see, and they could call a taxi to the airport. The staff spoke Russian, and not everyone understood English. Breakfast was good, but I’d recommend bringing your own coffee and brewing it in the room (the room has a kettle and cups). When booking the hostel, we were told there would be a washing machine and dryer, but the room didn’t have those extras. They might be available in the hotel’s shared area, but I didn’t confirm.

The location and breakfast were very good. I didn’t understand why the room wasn’t cleaned during my two‑night stay and why the duvet had to be set by the guest; they said if you’re cold the blanket is in the wardrobe (but nights in October are cold). The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, there was a safe, and the view from the window was wonderful—I’ll remember the hotel fondly.

The location is great for a day trip and very close to the meeting point—Europe Square. The view from the room and the restaurant is good, and the reception is nice. The AC is too loud, and the walls are thin, so you can hear people talking and walking around.

The value for money is excellent, with a large room that has an open balcony. The reception is friendly. Breakfast is decent, with a few tables on a small terrace that offers a nice view of Tbilisi. The best part of this place is its central location, making it easy to walk to the main monuments of the capital, even the Cathedral of the Trinity or the National Museum; it’s really ideal! A metro station is also very close (5 minutes on foot). There are many small shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is a bit ugly, but you’re so comfortable that you forget about it.
