We chose the place deliberately; Pštrossova villa caught our eye, and the owner lady was pleasant. In the bathroom it was freezing, even with the heating on. There was a noticeable temperature difference between the room and the bathroom, which made showering and other activities very uncomfortable.

The main highlight of my stay was, from my perspective, the fact that I lived in a historically architecturally interesting villa situated in the quiet and picturesque setting of old Bechyně. The communal breakfast in the small dining room also had its charm. If I had expected a family house run by a strict mother, I might have been satisfied. The lady gives rules, but she herself does not follow them: check‑in is unusually from 15, yet the room was still not ready at 16. Finding other people’s hair in the bathroom bothered me.

The villa looks exactly as in the photos, truly beautiful, with an excellent location in the center of Bechyně yet in a quiet area overlooking the monastery garden. Breakfast was very good, varied, and generous portions. The room was pleasant, the bathroom well equipped, the owner lady helpful, definitely recommend. For us the mattresses and pillows were maybe a bit uncomfortable, and we would have appreciated better blackout at night, but for a weekend stay nothing was problematic.
