“An great, affordable place to stay in the Gaslight district”

The apartment sits in the middle of the Gaslamp district, is nicely furnished, has a fully equipped kitchen, and includes free parking in a garage a block away. We stayed in a one‑bedroom unit with a queen bed and a sofa that turns into a full‑size bed; the leg rest/padded bench in front of the couch also unfolds into a single bed. Large windows face the street, and a shared balcony is reachable from a door outside the apartment. Street noise was moderate and there were no loud bars nearby. The building is older but well maintained. Overall, it’s well located and reasonably priced, especially with the free parking. Note that the bedroom has no windows, but there are plenty of fans and the AC from the main room reaches it; the bathroom window opens, but the main room’s street‑view windows do not. It would be nice to have a bedroom window.

I spent nine nights there and the apartment had everything I needed: it’s close to the convention center, has a nice kitchen, washer and dryer, and a comfortable living and dining area. Ben and Mayra were super responsive and handled every detail; when I left they even arranged someone to carry my two pieces of luggage down the stairway, which is a bit difficult for me to do alone. I had heard about noise complaints, but since I stayed in the low season the place was very quiet. The bedroom lacks a window, but that actually helped me sleep well because no light woke me up. Overall, I liked the apartment and San Diego a lot!

The location is very convenient—can't get any closer to the heart of Gaslamp. The place is nice, clean, and cozy. Everything was money well spent.

The location is outstanding and the place is clean. The host responded quickly to the one request I made. The air conditioning in the bedroom could have been better.
