The quiet spot on the outskirts of town, the charming, beautiful house, and the nicely decorated room made for a lovely stay; the staff were very friendly and offered a good breakfast.

The location worked perfectly for us because we could walk straight from the hotel to where we needed to be, and having a kettle in the room made it easy to brew coffee or tea. We wish there had been a hook for hanging towels after a shower – the same thing was missing when we stayed here two years ago – and one day we came back to find the lights on and the window open, which meant someone had entered the room while we were out, even though we hadn’t left it unlocked.
