The premises were beautiful and the staff very friendly, and the spa area was nice. The room was small and the bed was small, and unfortunately the bathroom didn’t warm up even though the heater was set to 5.

The location is lovely, but a car would be helpful to get around since it’s outside. Breakfast was good and plentiful, and it was refilled repeatedly so I always had everything I needed. I was a solo traveling woman in the side building, which I knew, but I was surrounded by solo traveling men (mostly workers, seminar participants.), and I felt somewhat uncomfortable. Probably unfounded, but I felt unsafe – and I’m usually not nervous or frail. When I tried to bring this up at the reception upon departure, I was told “your own fault, because I only booked a standard room,” and there was no understanding. Moreover, on the last morning at 8:20 my room door was simply opened, I assume by the cleaning staff, without knocking or calling first. I also missed having a bar where one could sit comfortably with a book in the evenings. The only place to grab a drink was the dining room.

It’s a bit better than a 3‑star hotel, leaning towards 4 stars. The restaurant is VERY good, with friendly, courteous, and well‑trained staff. This level of service is unfortunately no longer common today. Nothing else to note.

Great quiet location, very friendly staff, excellent breakfast, and a small but nice wellness area. Some hotel elements (including the balconies and shower fittings) feel a bit dated, but everything is still absolutely within reason.
