“Prima verblijf, vooral als je daar in de buurt een event hebt”
The location was very good, free parking, friendly reception, and early check‑in was no problem. The stairs were a bit scary, and the free coffee offered for everyone was both times (evening and morning) too strong and not hot—maybe buy different thermoses? :)
The staff were very, very friendly and the hotel sits right in the center of Werl. Breakfast was good. The building feels very old and the lush décor with many little ornaments makes it look rather messy. The bed was freshly made, but the comforter had a strange smell. On the windowsill behind us in the breakfast room, between all the figurines, there was a lot of dust and a dead fly.
“Uitstekend”
The curious décor. No idea.
The hotel’s location is very central. Breakfast was okay. The first front‑desk staff member was friendly. The rooms were outdated and not very clean. The soap dispenser at the sink was empty and covered in a thick layer of dust. No soap or shampoo in the shower at all. The manager’s friendliness left something to be desired. I accidentally double‑booked through two different portals; this should have been caught at check‑in because I presented the details and the staff checked me in. At 15:40 the double booking could still have been cancelled for free. At 19:10, when I was contacted because of a missing check‑in, it was already too late. When I tried to resolve the issue with the on‑site staff, the manager intervened, rejected everything, and insisted that both rooms must be paid for. The request for a free cancellation was also denied. No accommodation or goodwill was offered. I will not book this hotel again or recommend it.
“Altes Hotel in der Innenstadt”
Free parking is available in the courtyard. The hotel is heavily outdated, the entrance area is dim and confusing, and the steep stairs to the rooms are a hassle.
