Good service, the tuk‑tuk rides were included, the host was enthusiastic, arranged a safari to Mineriya and made sure we were at Pigurangula Rock on time for sunrise.

Rana is a very, very friendly host. The breakfast is very, very tasty and plentiful. Rana goes out of his way for his guests. We quickly arranged a tour to the elephants in the afternoon, and in the evening he took us to a very tasty restaurant. It’s simple, but good and right in nature. Everything was fine for us.

Living in a wooden cabin right in the jungle – romance for the brave. Don’t expect a hotel room, but we liked that even more. Rana is a great guy and will set up tours, safari and even drive you in his own tuk‑tuk. His breakfast is so good you can’t even imagine eating anything else. It was cozy, clean, and falling asleep and waking up to jungle sounds was a blast. Nothing to complain about. You’re in nature, so that’s to be expected. There were a few signal issues, but Rana sent us photos that he’s building a new transmitter there.

The location was fine, as was the setting. Even though we knew it was a tree‑house, we felt it was too “exposed” and not suitable for travelers who want certain comforts.

I really enjoyed my time here; the host built a brilliant outbuilding that you can use yourself and it’s very comfortable. You get the feeling of being in the wild, with jungle noises at night. The host is super helpful and the breakfast he cooked in the morning was still my favorite while in Sri Lanka. 10/10 stay and I’ve recommended it to friends visiting. I travelled by motorbike, it’s a bit out of town which worked for me but you’ll need transport. The host may be able to arrange that, he was very helpful. I liked everything. If I had to suggest one improvement it would be hot water for the shower, but that’s a very minor issue.
