I just wanted to thank Mrs. Ezilma and Mr. Thiago for the warm welcome; I’ll miss the good conversation and felt like visiting friends—definitely coming back. The local cuisine was awesome, especially the burger, and the shower was excellent. The road from Resende to Bocaina de Minas is in bad shape and needs maintenance, but the stretch through Liberdade‑MG is great with new asphalt—follow Denis’s advice.

The service was fantastic, the owner Denis is an excellent person, and the lodge offers great value for money. The downside is the many stairs.

The accommodation is very clean and honest. The hot shower has a great flow, and overall the lodge’s facilities are clean and good. The room menu offers snack portions that must be requested by 20:00; I tried to go to the restaurant at 19:40 but it was already closed. This isn’t necessarily a flaw of the lodge, but be aware: the town has no nighttime food options except those more than an hour away, so be prepared. On the upside, there are good snack choices.

The lodge is super cozy, the hosts are always friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The room is spacious and the shower is excellent.
