The peaceful surroundings and stunning views from the property were a major draw for us, and the caretaker was incredibly kind and helpful. However, we felt a bit awkward with our big dog, as we had to sneak past the lobby where pets aren't allowed. We ended up avoiding the lobby altogether, but it was a bit of a hassle to get a ride or a car when we needed one, especially since the landline phones in the hall didn't work.

I was pleasantly surprised by the room, it was clean and comfortable, but the real letdown was the restaurant. The food was overpriced and not very tasty, which was a shame because it would have been nice to have a decent meal on site. The room made up for it, but I wouldn't recommend relying on the restaurant for a good dining experience.
