The rooms were spacious and the interiors elegant, and the hotel was close to all the sights; the reception team was helpful around the clock, though road access was limited because of construction around the temple.

The price was reasonable for an AC room, the staff were acceptable, and it’s a new hotel, but the location is problematic—Google Maps can’t even point the way, the roads are too narrow for cars, the room is tiny with no window or ventilation, the toilet is cramped, and showering is a struggle; breakfast is only room service and not always well prepared, and the cleanliness has slipped with dust and dirt visible on the toilet, sheets, and other surfaces.

We enjoyed a very comfortable stay at Elegance; the hotel let us check in early after a long overnight train, which was a big help. The location is ideal—quiet street just moments from town centre. The room was ultra‑modern, spotless, and the bed was very cozy. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making our visit to Amritsar perfect, except that the shower water was quite cold.
