“A lovely homely bed and breakfast on the Pennine Way.”
This home B&B has two guest rooms in a tiny village; the room was very comfortable, the lounge was shared, the bed was comfy and the shower worked well. The hosts were very helpful and breakfast was excellent with a good selection and a superb cooked spread. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in the area. The only downside is that you’ll need to plan your own dinner and there’s no pub or restaurant in the village.
A breakfast that was simply brilliant, a room that felt lovely, a bed that was very comfortable, and a host who was delightful! Everything was great.
“Perfect.”
It was perfect for what I needed; I didn’t have breakfast because I had to leave early for work. I was offered cereal, orange juice, and a packed meal but declined since I work in a kitchen. I have no issues whatsoever.
“Home from home”
Very comfortable and an amazing host; no complaints.
“Perfect stop on the C2C route.”
Set perfectly on the C2C route in the pretty village of Garrigill, this traditional cottage sits off a village green with sheep grazing in the field behind; watch your head on the one low beam, just like similar properties. Plenty of books and information are available for the evenings, and Alana is welcoming and accommodating. The breakfast was more than I could eat and included gluten‑free options for me.
